My uncle presents me with a pencil case and a notebook and says that now I will be able to go to school. I immediately pick up the bag my mother uses for shopping, pile it with my newly acquired property, put on a coat and get away to school. The boys in the courtyard are passing wooden logs to each other… my brother is also in their midst, but I don’t stop. I go up the stairs and through some room (firewood goes the same direction). I walk into the next room, there is an adult man organizing things. I ask the adult where I can find a teacher because I want to start attending the school. Meanwhile, my brother has come and pulls me back home.
